The verification program ensures users that Distinguished is continuously researching and reviewing companies. It builds trust and reliability in the users’ minds.
Verification Program
Once a company is a sponsor or premium profile, Distinguished collect the company’s registration details to further confirm its legal standing. The team connects with each state’s Secretary of State’s website along with a legal certificate from the company.
The companies are required to present the following information:
- Business Name
- ID Number
- Business Status (Active/Inactive)
- Jurisdiction of Formation
- Date of Formation
We also check with the consumer credit reporting agencies to ensure that a company does not have any significant derogatory credit marks. The company’s verification level increases once the credit information is verified from Experian or CreditSafe.
