Distinguished Verification Program

The verification program ensures users that Distinguished is continuously researching and reviewing companies. It builds trust and reliability in the users’ minds.

Verification Program

Once a company is a sponsor or premium profile, Distinguished collect the company’s registration details to further confirm its legal standing. The team connects with each state’s Secretary of State’s website along with a legal certificate from the company.

The companies are required to present the following information:

  • Business Name
  • ID Number
  • Business Status (Active/Inactive)
  • Jurisdiction of Formation
  • Date of Formation

We also check with the consumer credit reporting agencies to ensure that a company does not have any significant derogatory credit marks. The company’s verification level increases once the credit information is verified from Experian or CreditSafe.
